Terms of service

شروط الخدمة

Last updated: [date to be set at launch]

1. The service

Accountly is accounting software for keeping books, preparing VAT and corporate tax figures, issuing e-invoices and running payroll. It is provided by [legal entity name and address].

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for reviewing figures and drafts (including anything suggested by AI) before you rely on them, and for filing returns with the Federal Tax Authority on time. Accountly is a tool; it is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Tax rules change, and you should confirm significant positions with a registered tax agent.

3. Accounts and access

Keep your sign-in details secret. Owners of a company or firm workspace decide who may access it and with which role, and are responsible for removing access when someone leaves.

4. Your data

Your business records remain yours. You can export them at any time. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy notice, which follows Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

5. E-invoicing

E-invoices are exchanged through an accredited service provider that you appoint or that we make available. Delivery and reporting depend on that provider and on the FTA's systems.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and back it up daily, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features and will give notice of material changes to these terms. [Service levels, fees and notice periods to be added.]

7. Liability

[Limitation of liability, indemnities and exclusions to be drafted by counsel.]

8. Governing law

[Governing law and forum (for example the laws of the UAE as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, or the DIFC/ADGM courts) to be confirmed by counsel.]
